Zipping and Unzipping Files

Zipped files, also known as compressed files, take up less storage space and can be transferred to other computers more quickly than uncompressed (unzipped) files. Compressed files are easy to work with and allow you to combine several files into a single compressed folder which makes sharing a group of files much easier. In this online tutorial, we’ll show you different types of zipped files such as .Zip, .Rar, and .7z. You’ll learn about the programs used in conjunction with these files and finally, we will show you how to create a zip file and extract zipped files on both Windows and Mac.
