The process for creating the example project using ActivInspire® is described below. The Completed Project Movie shows what the finished product might look like. The tutorial movies that follow demonstrate, step-by-step, how to construct an interactive whiteboard activity for building acrostic poems. This project can be easily modified or adapted for other subject areas or other grade/skill levels. We will begin by creating a new flipchart in ActivInspire. We’ll learn how to switch between the Primary and Studio interfaces, in order to accommodate different user preferences, as well as how to switch between different user profiles for creating the flipchart and presenting at the board. We'll add a background image to the flipchart and text for our foundational acrostic word. We'll learn how to lock elements on the page so that they can't be modified. Then, we'll add lines of text that represent possible poetry lines for each letter in the acrostic word. This is a fun, interactive, and creative way to demonstrate what we’ve learned about a topic.
