Lesson Accelerator: Project Launcher

For Sale! Part 2
Application: Storyboard Pro 7
Platform: PC

Description

This project is the second part of a 3-part extended project which makes use of graphic organising software (For Sale!-Part 1), storyboarding software (For Sale!-Part 2), and a movie editing application (For Sale-Part 3). If all three parts are completed, you will create a movie "advertisement" for selling a school building.

The process for creating the For Sale storyboard using StoryBoard Pro software is described below. StoryBoard Pro is available as a free download from the Atomic Learning Resources section of the web site. The Completed Project Movie shows you what the example project might look like. The tutorial movies that follow demonstrate, step-by-step, how to create the storyboards using the sample data provided. This project can be easily modified or adapted for creating storyboards about any subject under study. For a complete project description, including goals, objectives, and materials needed, see the Project Overview.

Creating Your Own Project
We'll begin by creating a new storyboard and adding 8 different shots or scenes. Details, in the form of a descriptive, vocabulary-rich sentence, will be added to each still shot, along with tips on how the picture should be taken. After spell checking and sorting the shots into the correct order, the storyboard will be printed as a reference for taking the photos and completing a movie about selling the school building.
