Description

The process for creating the example Word Search document using Microsoft® Word is described below. The Completed Project Movie shows what the finished puzzle might look like. The tutorial movies that follow demonstrate, step-by-step, how to construct the Word Search puzzle using the word list provided in the downloadable resource packet. This project can be easily modified or adapted for any subject area or grade level by using a word list that is relevant to the subject under study and/or changing the size of the puzzle grid. Creating Your Own Project
We will begin by creating a new document in Microsoft Word. We will then create a table with a specified number of rows and columns. This is where we'll be embedding the book titles and the "filler" letters to create our puzzle. We'll also learn how to format the table cells, create a three-column section in the document to hold the word list, and add graphics and other design elements to our puzzle. Finally, we'll print out the puzzle so that others can try and solve it!
