Description
The process for creating the sample calendar in Microsoft® Word 2007 is described below. Each section contains tutorials that demonstrate how to complete a part of this project. The tutorials will take you through creating a basic calendar template for one month, and will demonstrate how to use the template for recording information for that month. The project can be extended to create a full 12-month calendar by copying the template.

Creating Your Own Project
Students will work in small groups to create a calendar for one month that includes student and teacher birthdays and other classroom events. Each month will contain a picture and any special dates the class wants to keep track of. The example project demonstrates how to create a single month in the calendar and enter information for a number of dates. To extend this project, the class can complete pages in the calendar for the rest of the year.
