Creating Your Own Project
We'll begin this project by opening a new Microsoft Word document. We'll add some text and a table to our document that can be used as a basic rubric, and then save it as a document template. Next, we'll learn how to modify the template to contain score criteria and characteristics for a specific assignment. To do this, we'll need to brainstorm some possible criteria and choose the ones that should be in our rubric. We'll also need to determine what each score means for each thing that we are measuring and add that to our rubric table. The template can be modified to contain appropriate criteria and score characteristics for any project or assignment that you are working on. Rubrics are useful tools to help you self-assess your own work.
