Creating Your Own Project
We will begin by opening the Google™ Earth application and exploring the interface for this dynamic software tool. We will learn how to modify the default settings and how to adjust the view in the Google Earth window. We will learn how to show and hide different tools and markers on the Earth's surface that will help us identify what we are looking at and where we are. We'll learn how to "fly" to different locations on the Earth, using a number of different methods, and we'll add some of these locations to our My Places list. Finally, we'll create an animated tour of the locations we have marked, so that others can view our journey to different places on the Earth.
